Ways of Partnering

We believe ‘when’ and ‘how’ are foundational questions to cultivating and sustaining intentionality in the way people connect, think, and take action together.

We cultivate and sustain intentionality by inviting and acknowledging contributions, creating mutually understood expectations, interacting with authenticity, seeking clarity, establishing cadence, and delivering on promises or communicating when something changes.

We can be your partner in developing or furthering your practices around meetings, group work, and event experiences through our coaching, consultations, and workshops.

Coaching and consultations are done in a variety of approaches to meet the needs of the people involved.

This is an opportunity to do your actual work with intention, gain more direct focus on your content and context, and further your practices in designing and delivery of intentional group work and event experiences with input directly in working along with us.

Coaching & Consultations

Private workshops happen with cohorts of people within an organization to further practices in designing and delivery of intentional group work and event experiences.

These sessions are an opportunity to do your actual work with intention, gain peer input throughout the process, and build momentum for their organization and teams in taking action.

Private Workshops

Dan and Mike design and facilitate a variety of session types, scales, and settings. Sessions can be keynotes, plenaries, open space, all hands, retreats, team meetings, and the like.

We can lead the design and facilitation on our own or team up with organizational leaders, team leaders, independent consultants, speakers, organizers, and other individuals.

Design & Facilitation Leadership

Organizational clients often partner with us by integrating all of these elements, along with our expertise, to support their goals and intentions around leadership, teaming, change initiatives, and other areas.

We also invite you to explore our Public Workshops.

We partner with clients in a diverse set of roles in many contexts to meet a variety of important needs…

Ask what matters

In organizations, by definition, to do most things that matter takes more than one person. This demands that we continuously engage in the act of bringing people together, both synchronously in the moment, and asynchronously across time.

These acts are woven into organizational life. Every project or initiative, every event or announcement, every training, offsite, or big decision.

If you notice you are feeling anxious about an act of bringing people together it’s a signal that you care about the outcome, and, likely, the experience. Perhaps underlying the anxiety is also a sense that if you and others just do what you usually do, you will fail to get what you need.

When and How Studios asks: What is the crucial project, event, meeting or other gathering that matters enough that you will pay more attention to how it gets designed and delivered?

What we offer is an increased probability that this act of bringing people together will deliver what you really need, and next time you will have an increased capacity to do this work on your own and with others.
